WALLACE HOLLAND KASTLER SCHMITZ Business Developer in Ames, Iowa
WHKS is seeking a Business Developer to use their knowledge and skills in research, sales, and networking to identify potential clients, and build relationships with new clients. This position will work with senior level management, marketing, and technical staff and will play a key role in helping WHKS increase its industry awareness. Responsibilities Include:
- Obtain new project leads and potential clients for targeted markets through networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means.
- Plan persuasive approaches and pitches to present to potential clients.
- Assist with marketing efforts and the development of programs that will increase project opportunities for WHKS.
- Assist with preparation for project interviews and presentations.
- Compile and produce reports that track Business Development activities and progress toward achieving firm goals .
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field is required; an MBA is desired, but not necessary.
- 5 years experience in Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, or Public Administration.
- Possess an outgoing personality with proficient public speaking ability.
- Effective communication skills in relationship building to interact, support, and motivate internally, as well as ability to professionally interface with external contacts.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills.
- Strong research skills for lead generation.
- A valid driver's license
