U.S. Bank Consumer Credit Finance Manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Be a leader contributing strong analytic insight and capabilities in the Consumer Product area at the 5th largest bank in the United States. The Consumer Product team at US Bank is looking for a skilled individual to lead our analyst team for Consumer Credit. This position will lead a team of analysts in the development of financial analyses that will assist Product Management in driving profitable growth of credit products within U.S. Bank's Community, Metropolitan, and In-Store branch banking divisions. Essential functions include providing financial analyses related to budgets, forecasting, ad hoc analysis for business case development and custom financial analyses, peer group analysis and internal consulting for all levels of management. This will include (1) analyzing product trends to identify opportunities and risks, (2) developing and maintaining spreadsheets and statistical models for financial analysis, (3) preparing a variety of management presentations, (4) coaching and mentoring direct reports through various analyses and data presentation, and (5) developing financial models and forecasts for product initiatives. Financial and statistical data developed is used by management in policy setting and decision making.

Candidate should have a working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures. The job requires well-developed mathematical and analytical skills as well as a thorough level of knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning. The candidate is generally a recognized expert in their field and has over ten years of related experience. A Bachelor's degree is required, MBA preferred. WebFocus and SAS experience is a plus.


Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in project management and leadership activities

  • Five or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in SAS and/or WebFocus

  • Ability to identify and define business opportunities and risks as well as define and solve business problems

  • Knowledge of consumer credit products is a big plus

  • Ability to work well independently and with limited direct supervision

  • Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to convert concepts into quantitative models

  • Ability to team with others to work on complex problems engaging the strengths of others in a fast paced challenging environment

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, analytical and

documentation skills
