This position is responsible for operating machinery, heavy lifting and maintaining production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position could work in either slaughter or processing departments of this pork processing facility. Operative jobs require a higher skill level. Jobs include heavy detailed knife work and or saw operation. May require climbing stairs ladders. Simultaneous use of both hands. Lifting requirement varies from 0-61 lbs.
Positions are physically demanding. Continuous repetitive motion jobs. Lifting - Pushing - Pulling various weights up to 61 pounds. Standing 8 - 10 hours per day on concrete floor. Must be willing and able to work any shift. Must be willing and able to work in cold, damp or hot and humid environment. These areas have slippery walking surfaces. Must be willing to work a 5 - 6 day work week as well as any other duties as assigned by supervisor. We do not rehire for this position. This would include our facility, IBP TYSON, Food Brands Holly Farms or any other Tyson affiliates acquisitions or company now part of Tyson Foods.
