TitleAccounts Receivable SpecialistDescriptionJob Summary:The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain accounts receivable to ensure timely payment of accounts.*Essential Functions and Responsibilities:1. Process cycle invoices and statements monthly for all customers.2. Create special spreadsheets on a monthly basis for customers who require invoices in a different format.3. Process service invoices daily for all branches.4. Email service billing reports for daily and weekly statuses.5. Process credit memo requests, change billing cycles (including crediting and rebilling of recurring revenue as necessary) and process tax exempt certificates (including credit memos as necessary).6. Assist Branches, Customer Care and Data Entry with questions on customer accounts, as needed. Document all discussions for further reference.7. Submit online invoices for electronic and physical security customers.8. Assist Cash Applications Specialist, as needed.9. Review GL code refund requests before giving to Accounts Payable for processing.10. Process Backgrounds and Investigations invoices monthly.11. Assist Accounting Supervisor with annual and monthly customer rate increases.12. Prepare monthly reconciliations.13. As this position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by management.17. Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services attendance expectations.Position RequirementsEducation and/or Experience:1. High School Diploma or GED is required.2. Associate's degree (A. A.) in related field is required.3. 2-4 years related experience and/or training is preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:1. Must have strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel; Access experience a plus.2. Must possess the ability to quickly learn in-house software programs.3. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to customer service skills.4. Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively.5. Must be capable of handling stressful situations without decreasing productivity.6. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.7. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.8. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.9. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.10.
