Security Site Supervisor, Per Mar Security Services

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision of Per Mar Lead Officers and Security Officers at an assigned account. Supervisory duties include ensuring proper employee performance by adhering to company and client policies and procedures, training of employees and assist with scheduling officers to ensure proper security is maintained at the client site according to client contract needs.

*Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise Lead Officers and Security Officers at assigned account.

  • Adhere to and enforce all Per Mar and client company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with scheduling Lead Officers and Security Officers at assigned account.

  • Assist with the preparation and communication of post orders for assigned site.

  • Assist with interviewing prospective employees for assigned account.

  • Act as liaison between assigned client and the branch office.

  • Assist with the resolution of client issues and complaints.

  • Communicate with General or Operations Manager on regular basis.

  • Review and ensure all payroll information is accurate for employees at assigned account.

  • Oversee training of all new Lead Officers and Security Officers at assigned account.

  • Maintain, review and distribute required reports and records.

  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all company vehicles assigned to Physical Security Division.

  • Responsible for keeping track of mileage as required by client

  • Conduct regular security post checks at assigned account.

  • Enforce and maintain measures to control overtime and training costs.

  • Carry or wear on your person state security license and Per Mar ID card.

  • Wear and maintain appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as outlined for the position and follow all PPE policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.

  • Six months to one year previous supervisory and/or security experience and/or training required.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Must be able to obtain specified license/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel are required.Internet skills required.

  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatin and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Must have experience in writing reports and correspondence.

  • Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

  • Must be able to operate office equipment such as copier and fax machines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Strong customer service focus/skills a must.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.

  • Must be capable of handling challenging and stressful situations without decreasing productivity.

  • Must be able to effectively work with people at all levels of the organization internally and externally.

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Must have reasoning skills including ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Must be able to interpret of a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Must have problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to physically stand post for each shift, as needed.

  • Must be able to physically perform all Security Officer duties on all shifts and the site(s) supervised.
