Supply Chain Planner - TMCOffice location for this position: IA USAWhat's the opportunity?In collaboration with a significant customer, TMC Supply Chain Planner will be fully embedded with the customer's current factory teams. This role will be dual in nature, as The Supply Chain Planner will not only understand and execute the current Material Planning processes, but will simultaneously transform how the work is done and make it a competitive advantage for the customer. The team will be responsible for developing an ideal state of Supply Chain Planning, which will encompass true end-to-end planning and execution of all aspects of the Supply Chain. Additionally, the team will perform gap analysis between current and future state, and root cause/corrective action initiatives to close identified gaps, in order to achieve the ideal state.What will you be doing?* Develop, implement and control the Supply Plan for raw materials sourced from external suppliers considering demand, capacity, and materials availability constraints.* Develop supply planning activity, provide input to supplier forecasts and purchase orders to meet demand.* Manage stock levels and stock provisions in conjunction with demand planning, suppliers and distribution partners to ensure adequate inventory is available to fulfill customer demand, while minimizing inventory costs.* Communicate with both the upstream and downstream functions of the Supply Chain.* Contact suppliers, operations representatives, carriers, and factory personnel to investigate issues and improve alignment.* Perform root cause corrective action.o Work with the Supply Chain Planning team to identify, analyze, and correct the true root cause of any issues that arise.* Think proactively.o Develop the skills and experience to identify potential problems before they happen.o Escalate issues to the team when needed.* Develop the desired future state and implementation plan for Supply Chain Planning, creating a competitive advantage for the customer.* Establish critical inventory parameters taking into account constraints and input, such as lead time and order cycle time.* Monitor, track and report inventory levels and reconcile inventory variances using all available resources to identify root causes and possible solutions.* Ensure all inventory metrics are met.
