Wells Fargo Apps Systems Engineer 4 in Des Moines, Iowa

The Equipment Finance technology team is seeking an Application Systems Engineer to support a third-party application used in the equipment finance industry for customer service and collection activity.

The candidate will provide application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs for Ontario Systems - Artiva.

Artiva is a third-party, financial serving platform. The system is used to service customer requests for information as well as to drive all collection activity. Artiva is also used in conjunction with a dialer to manage all inbound and outbound calling activity from our collections, customer service, work-out, title, and insurance groups.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform analysis to troubleshoot production support issues and determine resolution and root cause of issue.

  • Develop unit test plans, conduct unit testing

  • Experience on full life-cycle development projects.

  • Follow established development guidelines and best practices to maintain project deliverables.

  • Prepare applicable system documentation and user documentation.

  • Participate in design; update and development of design documentation as needed.

  • Assist in and/or create Release notes to migrate code through various environments

  • Participate in design walkthroughs, code walkthroughs as required     

  • Provides technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs.

  • Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions.

  • Manages a third-party system through proprietary scripting.

  • Leads and/or performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts.

  • Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing.

  • Leads the migration of applications to production.

  • Develops new documentation, participates in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides.

  • As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.

  • Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
