As an Asset Management Attorney you will provide legal services to a number of internal clients on a variety of matters in support of a global asset management business. Candidates should have strong corporate and transactional experience. Experience with laws and regulations applicable to investment management including US and international regulations regarding investment advisers and investment funds is a plus. In addition, the right candidate will possess a high degree of self-motivation, the ability to drive for results, a track record of setting and achieving goals and the presence, maturity, and credibility to present effectively to stakeholders.
Requires JD and minimum 5 years’ experience as an attorney, preferably in asset management, financial services or corporate environment.
Experience advising on a full range of issues associated with investment advisors and mutual funds, including compliance matters, investment vehicles, governance structures etc.
Must be admitted to practice in the state employed within twelve months of hire.
Requires knowledge of the relevant area of law and its application.
Must be able to work as a member of a team and independently on a self-motivated basis.
Requires superior written and verbal communication skills.
Requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to appropriately manage and prioritize a diverse workload.
Must be able to apply knowledge of the law to make sound judgments, communicate, and interact with others in a professional manner.
Some travel may be required.
