Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to be an integral part of our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing budget forecasts, and providing valuable financial insights to assist in decision-making processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, where your contributions will directly impact our bottom line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis: Analyze production costs, material costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

  • Budgeting: Prepare and monitor budget forecasts, tracking actual performance against budgeted figures and providing recommendations for cost control.

  • Variance Analysis: Investigate and report on variances between budgeted and actual costs, identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the valuation of inventory, including assessing inventory turnover and ensuring accuracy in inventory records.

  • Product Costing: Calculate and update product costs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production processes.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to manufacturing costs and inventory.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to gather data and improve cost-related processes.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

    Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.

  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
