Basic Function:

The Hospital Specialty Manager is responsible for effectively educating, selling and promoting the product portfolio within the assigned geography. The Hospital Specialty Manager will also provide technical product knowledge, operating room training and case support when appropriate.

Essential Duties:

  • Attain and exceed territory sales goals utilizing advanced sales skills, territory management skills and the ability to leverage customer rapport

  • Conduct daily sales calls to target customers and all related nursing staff and support teams

  • In-service appropriate hospital personnel and educate end users on the clinical benefits of promoted products to ensure safe and appropriate drug administration

  • Additional ancillary call points include but not limited to health systems, poison control centers, etcetera

  • Demonstrate exceptional presentation skills

  • Develop and implement territory business plans and scheduled call plans

  • Strict adherence to all Arbor Pharmaceutical, Ethics and Compliance Guidelines, at all times

  • The ability to manage the hospital account in every department related to product promotion

  • The fortitude to manage open craniotomy cases in the operating room

Required Experience:

Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

  • EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ pharmaceuticals sales preferred-medical/device considered

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of alternate channels of distribution, i.e., Specialty Pharmacy, Direct purchase, Wholesaler, and Consignment or Hospital Sales Experience

  • Ability to obtain hospital credentialing (immunizations, background check, 10 panel drug screen)

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record

  • Documented successful sales results and track record

  • Ability to understand and communicate highly scientific and technical medical information

  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills

  • Passion for excellence / embrace competition

  • Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence and negotiation skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset that contributes to building a positive culture

  • Possesses fortitude to sell, compete and be a self-starter

  • 30% Overnight travel within the geography is required
