Manpower Group Route Planner in Des Moines, Iowa
*Utilize UPS Logistics RoadNet/Fleetloader, and internal software to dispatch deliveries for routes, bulk and side load trucks to insure routes are delivered geographically and efficiently. *Communicate with Sales, Operations, Fleet, and Warehouse Departments involving any special orders, requests, or opportunities for improvement. *Maintain Roadnet program with current and accurate customer information. *Ensure all reports are completed and communicated to Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Area Sales Managers and Operations Supervisors by the end of shift. *Monitor Planned vs. Actual reports to find data/employee issues and perform audits of the branches needing attention. Three PvA deep dives/audits per week is the expectation. *Phone communication will typically be with warehouse/operations managers to make sure they have what is needed to keep their crews working, or with delivery managers or district/branch managers to discuss special requests, driver availability, equipment availability etc. *Reporting and written communication to management staff is also part of the job, so professional written and verbal communication skills is a requirement.
The Route Planning position dispatches deliveries for combination, bulk and side load trucks in MN, WI, ND, and SD, ensuring routes are planned safely, geographically and efficiently while adhering to all DOT and internal standards.
Position Shift and Schedule: This is a full time position working Monday through Friday, 7:00am until 3:00pm. Flexibility to work beyond the standard 40 hour work week is required.
*High school diploma or GED required. *1 year of prior dispatching experience OR prior experience working in the food/beverage industry required. *Prior experience using Microsoft Excel required.
