Role Summary/Purpose

The TDQ Resource Manager will be responsible for driving core training & learning program initiatives and supporting the development of the region’s field workforce. Will manage employees through learning program progressions, competency and qualification

programs. The TDQ Resource Manager will ensure employees maintain the requisite skills that meet or exceed FC and local industry standards, will also maintain accurate certification records. The TDQ Resource Manager will perform a gap analysis of training

& learning program needs, OJT, and competency programs to prepare employees for future assignments by working with the FieldCore Technical Learning & Development team, Resource Management, and Human Resources departments. This position will be an integral

part of the Training Review Board regional input and analysis.

Essential Function

  • Identify and manage training and learning programs and development needs to prepare field employees for future assignments.

  • Review and analyze current legislative requirements, field performance results EHS metrics,and various feedback forms to gather information on training & learning programs’ development needs

  • Validate and drive training and learning programs’ needs to ensure specific legislative and site outage requirements are maintained.

  • Partner with the Resource Management and FieldCore Technical Learning & Development teams to plan progressive career paths for employees including identifying available learning programs and plan OJT fulfillment needs for their region

  • Partner with the FieldCore Technical Learning & Development and Resource Management departments to develop training & learning programs’ plans focused on customer needs to enhance workforce expertise

  • Schedule site leadership calls to collect feedback from teams and take action to improve training and learning programs and personnel development

  • Manage the training and learning programs’ seat allocation and OJT plans of field employees to ensure the best quality placement of candidates

  • Report and track training and learning programs’ certification dates and manage re-certification process

  • Provide periodic reports to senior management which depict the current qualification status of all field employees

  • Collaborate with Resource Management and Human Resources on retention initiatives

  • Participate in quarterly talent development review processes

  • Participate in creating recruitment strategies and interviewing candidates as needed to maintain a strong and effective team

  • Support training and learning programs’ coordination as needed to meet specific outage requirements, forced outages or emergent projects

  • Support employee needs while participating in learning programs events

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with five years’ experience in a recruitment, training/learning programs or resource management role preferred

  • Industry certifications in HR, project management or technical disciplines desired

  • Power/energy industry experience preferred Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines

  • Ability to extract data and perform appropriate analytics

  • Proficient is MS Office programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Some travel required

  • English proficiency required
