The Technical Project Solutions Manager will lead a coordinated approach of technical and project management across the full business model of the customer, sales, engineering, sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering field services teams to execute projects within the Power & Industry segment of Power Conversion North America.
The Technical Project Solutions Manager will be responsible to deliver world class solutions to customers while meeting contract specifications and deadlines, as sold program budgets, exceptional quality, adhering to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) guidelines, and delivering on cash targets. This will include working closely with engineering teams including technical guidance to enable projects that enhance the customer experience of responsiveness, quality, and on time delivery. You will translate customer needs into operative plans and provide leadership to inspire and empower the project team.
As the Technical Project Solutions Manager, you will:
Act as the single point of contact for the customer in relation to the project providing them a world class customer experience
Coordinate all activities for the scope and duration of the project from securement of the order and purchase order, engineering, procurement, logistics, through installation and commissioning
Be responsible for coordination of technical specifications with application engineering and technical advice and guidance to design engineering
Be responsible for project risk identification and mitigation
Have senior leadership reporting for all subjects; technical, cost, quality, related to the development of the project
Be responsible for intellectual property management within the project scope
Coordinate with functional managers in setting realistic and challenging operational goals within the project, contributing to their accomplishment
Conjunction between technical department and sourced / manufactured products to project manage and technically support a flawless execution of all the activities needed
Be capable to lead additional project managers, customer solutions managers, and assigned project engineers to actively coach and mentor their professional development
Define and manage interfaces to all sub-system in compliance to the system solution
Generate and execute application engineering of design reviews
Work closely with other members of the project teams in providing sound technical advice on feasibility and technical risks associated with any new project opportunity
Ensure the development of functional verification and qualification documentation in conformance with master plans and programs
Support and lead the system design including: general system functional specifications, component sizing, selection, detailed equipment specifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role and project management
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external customers
Solid knowledge of Power Conversion products
Strong oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal and leadership skills
Capability to work in cross-functional, global teams
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
