PURPOSE OF THIS POSITIONUnder general supervision of the Business Office Manager, Office Staff personnel perform assigned bookkeeping, record keeping, and clerical activities related to the facility's business operations. Function strictly within limits of assigned tasks and within well-defined policy, procedure and guidelines. Assist the business office manager to implement and maintain systems to operate the business office in an effective, efficient manner. To assist with implementation and maintenance of admission and financial systems in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. May be a part-time position to provide reception, secretarial and clerical support at peak times or on weekends when Business Office typically is closed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist in maintaining an effective, organized efficient accounts payable and accounts receivable system to meet the needs of the facility.Maintain resident billing and accounts, resident trust accounts, and ledgers, as directed, according to accepted accounting principles, regulations, and company policy/procedure and timelines.Communicate and work cooperatively with fiscal intermediaries, company accounting staff, auditors, state agencies and private insurance companies.Assist in maintaining an effective, organized, efficient computer system to meet the needs of the business office.Prepare and submit reports on a...
