SUMMARY

Individual will be responsible for welding on various metals, performing repairs, and cleaning welds as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must be able to become IMT weld certified, have previous weld experience and basic blue print reading skills. Six months experience preferred in manufacturing industry. Ability to read technical devices, understand weld symbol and how to utilize and overhead crane system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up, tack and perform all types of welding on all gauges of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Assemble and weld various metal parts together conforming to IMT standards. Cut and fit, heat and bend, perform weld repairs, salvage, rebuild parts as directed. Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place. Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations. Work in both team and individual settings Assess overall quality during and after production. Clean welds as required. Work with other personnel during assembly of large components. Follow workplace safety procedures. Other duties as assigned.
