Reporting to Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for delivering the project within established goals for quality, timeliness, budget, profitability, safety and customer satisfaction.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or related experience

  • LEED accreditation preferred

  • Ten or more years of construction experience at a management level

  • Exceptional communication and effective listening

  • Scheduling and Project Management experience

  • Leading, mentoring, and training of diverse teams and communicating expectations

  • Experience with multiple project types and sizes

  • Knowledgeable in estimating process

  • Cost management experience – accountable for project results

  • Ability to negotiate effectively, quick and assertive

  • Ability to read other people and adapt your approach to achieve results

  • Understanding of productivity and pricing

  • Proficient in Timberline, Microsoft Office, and other construction-related software

  • Timely recognition of problems and providing and implementing solutions

  • Maintain quality control over project while effectively managing project scope

  • Ability to travel to varying project locations


  • Prepare preconstruction schedule

  • Assist estimating department with and review value engineering process

  • Prepare preliminary project schedule with the Director of Operations and Superintendent

  • Lead contract negotiations and review and finalize customer contract with the Director of Operations

  • Ensure prequalification of subcontractors and suppliers in unison with estimating department

  • Lead kick-off meeting and work with Director of Operations to establish project financial and schedule baseline, as well as establish frequency of project meetings, site visits, and reporting requirements

  • Manage project budget

  • Attend and participate in weekly subcontract and owner jobsite meetings with Superintendent

  • Prepare detailed overall project schedule and update weekly with Superintendent

  • Establish project communication protocol

  • Ensure implementation of the project site specific safety program

  • Maintain regular face-to-face communication with customer

  • Maintain an understanding of basic prime and subcontract agreements and administer appropriately

  • Responsible for change orders (COs)

  • Overall responsibility for integrity of the project budget

  • Monitor implementation of site-specific safety program and subcontractor compliance

  • Attend weekly jobsite meetings with Superintendent, conduct meeting if appropriate

  • Provide monthly cash flow estimates

  • Invoicing in a timely manner

  • Follow up with customer on monthly payments

  • Ensure proper overall project compliance (i.e. insurance, subcontracts, bonds, owner contract)

  • Establish inspection (punch list) date with customer/architect

  • Obtain Certificate of Substantial Completion from customer (same date as inspections)

  • Responsible for career development and training of all direct reports

  • Lead team to meet annual operational goals

  • Fostering new and existing customer relationships resulting in new business for Henning
