AARP Foundation SCSEP Thrift Store (Marshalltown) in Marshalltown, Iowa
The AARP Foundation/SCSEP program is a training program for people 55 or older, who are not working, are actively looking for employment and who can meet income guidelines.
Eligible applicants are sent to Host Agencies to train and update skills. Eligible applicants are paid to attend classes, Job Fairs, job interviews and their Host Agency assignment.
The goal of the SCSEP program is to assist eligible applicants transition into suitable employment off the SCSEP program.
Hourly position, $7.25/hr 18-20 hrs per week, training position
Thrift Store duties may include:
- Sorting and stocking donations
- Helping patrons carry items to their car
- Organizing and maintaining racks and shelves
- Answer Phones
- light maintenance, building and grounds
