SUMMARY Sets up equipment daily after pre-op is completed and tears down, at the end of shift, while following company safety policies and procedures. Responsible for grinding assigned products, following established grinding procedures and adhering to customer s specifications. Insures required raw materials are processed using established procedures and according to customer s product specifications. Reports any deviations to the lead and or supervisor (or designee). Assists in Grinder Plate Bone Elimination checks as needed. Responsible for completing all necessary product documentation. Documentation will be prepared and reviewed according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for following company lock out tag out safety policies and procedures and reporting any deviations to the lead and or supervisor (or designee). Follow company GMP s in performing job duties and responsibilities and reports deviations to the lead and or supervisor (or designee) Performs other duties as assigned by the lead and or supervisor (or designee).


This position is located in inedible rendering. The Team member is responsible for operating the rendering cooker which includes various tasks. Such tasks are completed inside and outside during all times of the year. The following breaks the job down to include more detail, setting up and monitor augers, starting up and monitor presses and chokes, starting up monitors and cleaning roto screen, operate Zero Flash Valve, turning on and blowing all steam lines, turn on and monitor bone bins, pre breakers, kill bin, surge bin, start up and check WHR System, check Pac-Tower and Mist Eliminator, grease sharples, check sweco screens, turning on, maintaining, and operating cooker which include monitoring flow of product, heat, monitoring product exiting cooker, and monitoring flow of chemicals to cooker products, monitor gearboxes, pre and post shift cleaning procedures This job requires the use of both hands for tasks such as setting up augers, starting up presses and chokes,steam lines,WHR system, bone bins, pre breakers, operate cooker, operate Zero Flash Valve, and also cleaning roto screen. Must be willing to train and be authorized for Lock Out Tagout, Confined Space Entry, use of chemicals, fall protection, and any other annual training as needed.
