Landus Cooperative is seeking an individual to perform Soy Center operations functions in order to benefit internal and external customers of Landus Cooperative, ensuring quality soybean production, while maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept facilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Learn to operate the Soy Center master computer system. Assist in operations of the main master control, loadout, degumming, and oil filtering system along with recording data and generating system reports on a timely basis. Learn to perform oil pretreatment of FFA (Free Fatty Acid) including running tests on the oil for iron and phosphorus. Adjust the silica as needed.After proper training has been completed, perform loadout functions, which include preparing trucks and rail cars for shipment and loading products (oil, meal, and specialty oil) by rail and truck. Learn various quality control functions including operation of lab equipment for meal, oil, and water, visual inspection of all types of inventory, and measuring physical inventory on a periodic basis. Learn to run ICP (test instrument) on oil and how to optimize oil losses which includes learning to use more sophisticated lab equipment for the oil pretreatment. Manufacture, package, and loadout specialty oil products.Greet all customers at the facility.Assist in performing general facility maintenance and housekeeping, including equipment inspection and monitoring through the facility. Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers both orally and written. Learn to use basic mechanical tools to perform required duties. Work independently or together as a team. Assist in performing basic electrical jobs (preferred).Use or learn to use computer operational equipment. Be available for day or night work, and overtime as required by supervisor. Learn to record data and generate computer reports and processing written records on a timely basis. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver's license.
