Job Summary:

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is looking for a Supervisor to oversee the hourly staff at the Methyl Ester facility in Sergeant Bluff, IA. This is an excellent role for a strong leader who is interested in working for a stable company. The Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day production and will ensure proper operating parameters, techniques, and safety objectives are maintained with plant personnel. Plan to utilize industry expertise to train and manage hourly personnel, while reporting to the Methyl Ester Plant Superintendent.

Maintains operation of the plant through inspection, trouble shooting, assisting on projects and communication with pertinent staff.

Monitors and maintains production and product quality.

Inspects and ensures efficient equipment operations.

Trains and supervises employees through scheduling work, checking quality of work, conducting performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary matters.

Develops and manages projects as assigned.

Must be willing to rotate between working day shift and night shift.

Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations as they apply to plant operations.

Skill in negotiating, analytical thinking and problem solving.

Ability to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the applied sciences (engineering, biology, physics, chemistry, or food science) is a preferred.

Supervisory experience in a biodiesel facility is preferred.
