The Consumer Lending team includes Home Lending, Personal Lending, and Dealer Services, including the professional services teams that partner with these businesses and other key partners.

Our CL Credit Risk team partners across the Home Lending businesses to satisfy our customers' ongoing financial needs by providing sustainable home lending solutions while striving to maintain a consistent and efficient credit culture and strategy.

The position’s primarily responsibilities will be to take ownership of, independently perform, and coordinate several key functions related to real estate credit risk data. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to identifying source data, data attributes, creating and modifying SAS code, validating data, designing and implementing data audit processes / protocols for both internal and external submissions, providing summary finding reports to management, and partnering/coordinating with other Business Intelligence teams or external departments to define, design, and implement new processes. The position may eventually provide work direction and technical guidance to junior level consultants.

This individual must be detail oriented, have strong troubleshooting, resolution, technical, and critical thinking skills, and the willingness and flexibility to shift priorities quickly. Candidates should be able to research, program, extract, and compile real estate consumer credit risk and accounting data from multiple sources using various reporting tools (SQL, SAS, and Access). This job will also entail ensuring SOX compliance requirements are met via implementing proper audit controls and reconciliation processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of risk reporting experience, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, or engineering and 3+ years of risk reporting experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • 3+ years of financial industry experience

  • 5+ years of SAS programming experience

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
