[We are currently seeking a compassionate and responsible On Call Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional service to our residents while ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.

• Safely transport residents via facility van to and from local medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other destinations, as necessary.
• Provide assistance to residents, as needed, including boarding and disembarking vehicles, securing wheelchairs and other mobility aids, and making sure the resident is wearing a safety belt.
• Communicate effectively with Charge Nurse/Administration/Office staff to coordinate schedules, route changes, and resident needs.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and transportation regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.

[Requirements:]{new="" roman="" times=""}

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Carry and maintain a cell phone where you can be reached at any time. Daytime transports are scheduled ahead, if possible, but there may be instances of a same-day appointment being made due to health concerns. After hours and evenings are typically straight On Call, as needed. Current statistics show approximately 5 transports per week, but it could be more or it could be less.
• Previous experience in transportation or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including securing wheelchairs and ensuring the resident is wearing a safety belt.
• Pick resident up from Nurses' Station and deliver into designated building/area for appointment and vice versa for return of resident.
• Knowledge of local streets, highways, and transportation routes.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screenings.
• Flexibility and availability are a must.

[Compensation: [$1/hr for every hour on call and not called upon. $22/hr when called in/on assignment.
