Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.

Responsibilities

• Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.

• Determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment.

• Perform basic preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, pumps, paint equipment, material handling equipment, gearboxes, overhead cranes, and other mechanical components.

• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and repairs on equipment that is single phase 240v to 3-phase 480v.

• Tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs as needed.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC’s, VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives), AMU’s, CPU’s, etc.

Work Environment

Openings are available on both shifts. The standard shift is 4, 10-hour days, but currently, employees are working 5, 12-hour days and more due to understaffing on the maintenance team. Candidates need to be okay with working a lot of hours. The first shift starts around 6 am and continues for 10-12 hours. The second shift starts around 4 pm and also runs for 10-12 hours. The position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond normal hours, shifts, and on weekends/holidays based on equipment downtimes. The production environment may have both high and low temperatures and loud noises, typical of a manufacturing plant. Candidates need to be open to working at heights as needed.
