Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our Student Wellness team. This role will provide essential administrative support to the Department of Student Wellness, assisting the Director and staff with a variety of tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and organizational skills, committed to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment for students and staff.

This position is part time, 20 hours a week, and is eligible for ISU benefits.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - Noon

Examples of Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the Department of Student Wellness and the Director by serving as a liaison to external contacts, scheduling meetings, and assisting with various tasks and projects.

  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, correspondence, and meeting minutes.

  • Assist staff with scheduling spaces, creating travel itineraries, preparing for programs, booking reservations, and ordering supplies or equipment.

  • Manage Student Health and Wellness unit requests through Smartsheet, including presentations, programs, training, and resource requests.

  • Conduct moderately complex research, gather data, and prepare department summaries and reports.

  • Support staff by entering data into department recreation management software and/or website as needed.

  • Purchase office supplies and maintain supply inventory.

  • Assist the director in compiling and analyzing financial and operational reports.

  • Assist staff in completing expense verifications to meet University policies.

  • Ensure compliance with university policies and federal laws, including FERPA, HIPAA, and Title 42.
