RTI Surgical Area Sales Director in Ames, Iowa

Job Objective: To drive sales growth and sales goal achievement of ALL Surgalign products through consistent management and direction of distribution partners and direct reports. This position will have responsibility for ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO.

Drive business growth and business consistency with Distribution partners, direct sales reports, and product specialists

  • Manage distribution partners toward long term goal of exclusivity, with the specific objective of incremental progress with each partner.

  • Work directly with key surgeons through distribution partners to drive increased market share and product usage

  • Develop and maintain Distributor relationship

  • Maintain Leadership interaction

  • Contract creation and updates

  • Commission and incentive management

  • Inventory management

  • Coordinate training and education

  • Setting and tracking to quota

  • Drive quarterly plan and review sessions with all key distribution partners

  • Create and maintain scorecard

  • Utilize distributor incentive to drive performance

  • Manage A/R outstanding

  • Work closely with marketing to drive messaging and marketing efforts to support partners and key surgeons

  • Coordinate VIP visits

Sales Talent Recruitment (Distribution and Direct)

  • Target are recruit new distribution partners that can convert new business and penetrate markets that existing partners cannot

  • Hire train and develop direct reports as required by market dynamics and business growth

Drive Surgeon Relationship and Market Share

Increase Market Profitability

  • Manage local hospital pricing submissions

  • Involve Corporate Accounts in IDN/GPO discuss

  • Drive distribution performance with incentive and goal achievement

  • Utilize product leverage to drive distribution and surgeon market share

Required Experience: 3-5 years of successful sales management and sales responsibility for spine technology through a distribution salesforce.
