This role includes setting up the forms in which concrete is poured to create walkways, walls, pillars and other structures.
Introduce rebar or wire mesh to reinforce the material
Use trowels and other tools to spread and smooth concrete, and mold expansion joins and edges.
Because curing time can vary by temperature, wind and other environmental factors, this person must monitor the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface.
Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill.
Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project
Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety policies and guidelines
