Job Title: Facility Attendant/Mill Operator

Job Description

As a facility attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness by removing products from floors and placing them into bins. Your role involves dumping products into the silo on the 7th floor and making regular rounds to set up and arrange equipment to ensure its proper operation and performance. You will be expected to read, assess, troubleshoot, and adjust mill flow, as well as understand all other flow sheets in the mill. Additionally, you will monitor and regulate production parameters to maintain peak efficiency in controlled processes.

Hard Skills

• 1+ years of experience in production or food manufacturing

• General working knowledge of computers

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Soft Skills

• Comfortable standing for extended periods

• Ability to work in warm environments

• Independent work ethic

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ames, Iowa.

Work Environment

The work environment is warm, averaging 80 degrees, and can reach up to 100 degrees at times. An air-conditioned control room is available, and employees spend approximately 30-40% of their time there. The dress code includes jeans/work pants, boots, and no jewelry. The company provides a hair net, beard net (if applicable), hard hat, and lab coat. Shifts are from 7pm - 7am, operating on a schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off.
