Preferred Qualifications:Experience with audio, video, and data connectivity types and workflow pathsExperience setting up wired and wireless microphones, audio mixing, party-line intercom, IFB, and mix-minus bussesExperience with video switching, graphic overlays, and multi-source compositesExperience with operating and configuring handheld, studio-configured, and robotic camerasExperience with IT support as it relates to end-user presentation software/hardware, and production equipment interconnectionExperience producing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events for recording and streaming to multiple platforms.

Job Description:

ENGINEERING-LAS ONLINE LEARNING (ELO) Collaborative Technology Services (CTS) team offers on-location video production and video conferencing services throughout the campus community. The unit supports audio and video recording as well as live streaming for campus events. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Event Management

  • Support, coordinate and manage on-, off- and multi-site live events that utilize virtual communication, recording, and streaming technology to meet and satisfy customer needs.

  • Participate in the effort to assist and advise customers and participants on the effective use of facilities, equipment, and technologies for live events.

  • Schedule events, resources, and staff using various online and technical resources.

  • Collaborate with other departments in the college and university-wide as needed to produce events using the appropriate technologies and services.

  • Collaborate with other ELO staff to coordinate successful events.

Facility Management & Administration

  • Support advanced multimedia facilities for hosting events that require virtual communication and collaborative technology, multi-camera video capture, webcasting, advanced staging, lighting, and sound mixing.

  • Oversee and improve technical resource readiness, including performance tracking and inventory.

  • Support maintenance and upgrade schedules for ELO-managed auditoriums, technology-enhanced conference rooms, control rooms, portable production systems, multimedia production, and editing software and computer-based multimedia systems. Consult with ITS, academic departments, and other business units on non-ELO rooms and spaces.

  • Maintain and implement procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems and facilities.

  • Prepare invoices and assist in maintaining a departmental budget.

Hourly Student Management & Supervision

  • Participate in an effort to recruit, hire, train, schedule, and manage student workers in the production and delivery of events.
