Ames Trenching & Excavating Operator/Assistant Foreman in Ames, Iowa
Ames Trenching and Excavating is under new ownership and looking for Experienced Operators!
Requirements:
- 4+ Yearsinstalling underground utilities (water/sewer/storm/communications)
- Valid Driver's License, CDL Preferred
- 2+ Years heavy machinery operation on multiple pieces of equipment (minihoe, backhoe, trackhoe, tractor, skidloader, laser, dumptruck, etc.)
- 2+ year working/laboring in trenches and "running a shovel"
- Able to work alone or in a crew
- Able to read specs and blueprints
- Working knowledge of all underground utilities: water, storm sewer, sewer, communications, electric, etc.
- An even demeanor and great attitude
- Team-player
- Excellent attendance record
Preferences:
- Valid Iowa CDL
- 3+ years experience running small crews
- Bidding and estimating working experience
Pay $28/hour + DOE
