Job Description:

SummaryDevelops, promotes, and delivers program(s) in an academic, research, administrative, or other setting. Coordinates program services and activities. Responsible for daily operations.

Example of Duties

  • Serve as a member of the Public Science Collaborative core team, working with the Co-Directors to ensure team progresses on deliverables identified in project contracts.

  • Manage the complex administration of a team of 20 faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students from multiple universities/locations, actively managing over $3 million in current grants and contracts.

  • Direct cohorts of students’ and interns’ workloads regularly, monitoring progress of multiple teams working on multiple grants with tight deadline-driven deliverables.

  • Supervision responsibilities include setting team meeting agendas, verifying time sheets, ensuring accurate capture of project documentation, and supervising the completion of assigned tasks. Must facilitate trainings to support team members skill development related to engagement in field and virtual settings, data and design of research projects, clinical outreach and trauma.

  • Identify and reveal trends, patterns and relationships in data from multiple systems and display them in a variety of graphic techniques.

  • Leadership in project research design including development of highly confidential interview protocols of potentially at-risk members of society, recruitment strategies, coding schemes, analytic strategies, and plans for dissemination to address policy-relevant questions with vulnerable populations.

  • Prepare highly technical documents, visual presentations, and oral presentations that detail complex procedures and results from data management, data profiling, and analysis to diverse audiences at many levels of data-literacy.

  • Support development of analytic reports for funders, State of Iowa stakeholders, and academic audiences.

  • Act as a liaison between clinical providers and the State of Iowa.

  • Provide internal and external trainings on topics related to substance use, trauma, and community well-being.

Candidates must have prior experience working with GIS, STATA, and Tableau. Candidates will also need to exhibit a high degree of confidentiality.
