Mary Greeley Medical Center Recruitment Experience Intern in Ames, Iowa

  • Position Summary:

  • The Human Resources department at Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking a qualified Recruitment Experience Intern for the Spring/Summer 2025 semester. The Recruitment Experience Intern will be integral in the recruitment work for our organization to help move us forward with existing and new innovations that lead to great hiring and retention practices. As an intern, you will also play a key role in the further development of our MGMC Internship Program. The intern role has a unique opportunity to collaborate across a variety of departments within the healthcare setting. The internship may align with academic internship requirements.

  • Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of MGMC recruitment strategies.

  • Identify additional opportunities for early talent recruitment at both the high school and college level.

  • Assist in creating and planning intern events.

  • Coordinate with departments and local schools for onsite events, tours, and presentations.

  • Participate in MGMC Employee Advisory Committee (EAC) and Culture Champions.

  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding practices.

  • Participate in Mary Greeley internship events (presentations, education, outreach, etc).

  • Qualifications, Knowledge, & Experience:

  • Organizational Requirements:

  • College student in good standing majoring in healthcare management, human resources, or related field.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • This internship may align with academic internship requirements.

  • Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant work or internship experience.

  • HR or healthcare experience in work or classroom setting.
