Job Description:

The department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking applicants for a Research Technician II to work in the zebrafish research facility and the research laboratory.

SummaryResponsible for coordinating the testing of samples. Monitors and maintains lab equipment. Troubleshoots issues in the lab.Example of Duties• Performs a variety of tests requiring a high degree of proficiency.• Collects, analyzes, and processes laboratory samples or research data.• Troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions.• Determines testing methods for non-standardized test.• Cleans, sanitizes, maintains, and operates lab equipment.• Assists scientists with research and record findings in the field or lab.• Maintains sample tracking.
