Transfer Worker
$14.50 Starting Pay ($21.75/hr for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday)
Tuesday-Wednesday & Saturday-Sunday, 4am - until the work is complete
An established agricultural processing facility in the Algona, IA area is looking for reliable and self-motivated individuals to join their team! As a Transfer Worker, you will be responsible for monitoring eggs/chicks throughout the incubation and hatching stages. Responsibilities:
Take trays of incubated eggs to be vaccinated
Follow job instructions regarding which set of eggs to transfer and quantities
Check on incubators to ensure proper temperature, humidity, etc.
Transfer to hatchers once the incubation period is complete
Clean and sanitize incubators once chicks have hatched
Perform other duties as assigned
Follow all company policies and safety requirements
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Frequently
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs over the head/shoulders repetitively
Must be able to to stand for extended periods of time (10+ hours)
Must be able to use hands, wrists and back repetitively throughout the shift
Ability to work in a dusty, hot & cold, and sometimes wet environment
Demonstrated consistent and regular attendance
Must be self-motivated and organized
Prior production experience is preferred but not required
