Belmond-Klemme's Elementary School serves over 350 students in grades PK - 6 this year and is growing. The Belmond-Klemme Community School District is a public PK-12 school district located in Belmond, Iowa, population 2,400. The school district straddles the Wright and Hancock county line. The district serves the communities of Belmond, Klemme, Goodell, and Rowan. Schools buildings include the new Richard O. Jacobson Elementary School (PK-6) and the junior-senior (7-12) high school all located in Belmond. Belmond-Klemme CSD has a K-12 actual enrollment of 644 students. Belmond-Klemme is a Class 1A school in the Top of Iowa Conference (Iowa) in the Western Division that includes Bishop Garrigan, Eagle Grove, Forest City, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Lake Mills, North Iowa, North Union, West Fork, and West Hancock.
Belmond-Klemme recently added the sports of girls' and boys' soccer. Belmond-Klemme is also a state leader in the new state-wide eSports league.
Education and Licensure:
- Hold a Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Hold or is eligible for an Iowa Professional Administrator License.
