National Credit Center Human Resources Business Partner in Bettendorf, Iowa

Under direction of the VP of Human Resources, this position is responsible for the day to day administration of human resources duties, to include, but not limited to, employee relations activities, policy administration/ compliance, recruiting, onboarding, benefits and safety administration in alignment with the organization?s mission and vision. Works with all levels of employees and managers throughout the organization to articulate the desired corporate culture and assists with communication and engagement programs to align with that culture.

Supporting the business, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for the day to day administration of all Human Resources programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees in support of the company?s business objectives. Administers all Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs; to include, but not limited to, recruiting, performance management, employee relations, benefits and safety. Insures compliance to HR related Company policies and procedures, and all government programs, including ADA, EEO, COBRA, OSHA, FMLA, ACA and wage and hour regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partners with management to provide day to day support of the Business. This may include attending meetings, coaching and providing a partnership between HR and the Business on making all people related decisions. This includes the full employment lifecycle from recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance improvement and employment termination.

  • Provides information on human resources policies and procedures through Employee Handbook and other means.

  • Ensures organizational compliance with applicable human resources-related statutes and regulations as well as company internal policies and procedures.

  • Provides Recruiting support to include sourcing and pre-screening of candidates for the business; and weekly pipeline reporting to Management.

  • Evaluates and resolves human relations, work performance, employee morale and organizational productivity issues and pro-actively supports the training of supervisors/managers on these matters.

  • Responsible in the day to day administration of Company sponsored benefit programs for eligible employees.

  • Will conduct the new hire orientation program and the completion of new hire information for Payroll and establishment of personnel files.

  • Assists with the Administration of programs to motivate and retain employees such as employee recognition programs.

  • Provides support to management on the administration of HR-related company policies and procedures, and regarding compliance with all state and federal employment laws.

  • Provides support to management on sensitive Human Resources issues such as performance management, disciplinary actions and employee terminations.

  • Provides support to supervisors/managers and employees on the interpretation of various company policies and procedures such as vacation, holiday, and leave of absence eligibility.

  • Works with management and employees to investigate and resolve issues, complaints, harassment claims, and conflicts.

  • Assists with the management of the leave of absence process, including the preparation of all FMLA. LOA and COBRA notification letters for employees.

  • Administers training of employees in areas under the HR Department?s responsibilities; to include Harassment Awareness and Safety/OSHA Compliance.

  • Provide administration of Safety and Workers? Compensation programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor?s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology or related Business field.

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in similar role.

  • Working knowledge of best practice HR Policies and Procedures and Legal Requirements; to include:

  • Sourcing and Recruiting of qualified candidates for open roles.

  • Handling of employee relations issues to include, investigative techniques, documentation and conflict resolution.

  • Employment laws (e.g., FMLA, Title VII, FCRA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, HIPAA) and other HR concepts and an understanding of ERISA and benefits plans and policies (e.g., ACA, Workers? Compensation and 401k).

  • Consultation skills required.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with hiring managers, employees and management at all levels of the organization. This also includes the ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse workforce.

  • Must maintain confidentiality on all human resources matters.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a must.

  • Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision; along with have the ability to perform well and be unfailingly diplomatic in a high pressure and complex environment.

  • MS Office Suite of Product experience.
