Robert Half is currently seeking an Experienced Accountant with 4-5+ years of experience in full cycle accounting. As an Experienced Accountant, you will be tasked with managing all general ledger accounting tasks, ranging from balance sheet reconciliations to financial statement preparation. With robust attention to detail and a passion for everything numbers, you'll have the chance to showcase your adept ability to accurately manage financial entries and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all appropriate general ledger entries and monthly reconciliations.

• Follow the company's established accounting processes.

• Maintain cost accounting responsibility for routine compilation of manufacturing costs for payroll, inventory accountability, distribution of factory labor, verification of actual costs and computation of variances.

• Manage inventory control including coordination of cycle counts, resolution of problem areas, and maintenance of procedures.

• Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

• Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions - including product line profitability analysis and review.

• Assist in preparation of documentation for external auditors.

• Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams.

• Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules.

• Drive KPI tracking throughout the business and work with functional leaders to evaluate information.

• Maintain fixed asset register and processes related journal entries.

• Handle multi-state sales and income tax, and sales tax.

• Support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Experience with tax compliance software helpful or willingness to learn

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or 10+ years experience

• Demonstrable experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

• Working knowledge of GAAP

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adapting to an ever-changing environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
