JOB SUMMARYMonitor training plans forispecial education studentsiparticipating in Work Experience and Situational Assessment programs. iManage individuals while on the worksite and provide training in a classroom setting.iESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESEffectively manage and train students participating in the Work Experience program.i Develop Individual Program Plan for each program participant.Create and conduct time studies and calculate productivity measures for participants in various work areas.Identify and create the necessary accommodations that will allow participants to complete assigned tasks. Complete required personnel and administrative paperwork in a timely mannerMaintain contact with work site supervisors to monitor participant progress in work areas and identify strengths and areas of difficulty.Track and report information to administrative entities and family membersMake sound decisions in dealing with the day to day activities of participants.i Ensure participants are prepared to become employed and retain employment. Ensure that participant records are maintained in an organized and legible manner in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures and CARF requirements.Meet or exceed performance expectations as defined in the Program Evaluation efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction measures.Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.Other duties as assigned.iiINDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT and INTERPERSONAL SKILLSPersonally participate in ongoing professional growth, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop.Maintain positive working relationship with supervisor, co-workers and students.Must demonstrate self-initiative.Must have the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.iORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENTEducate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.Demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words.iEDUCATION and EXPERIENCEAssociates' Degree in a human services or related field preferred. Two (2) years' experience in human services, rehabilitation or educational setting required in lieu of degree.iCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS First Aid/CPR Certification requiredCertified Employment Support Professional (C.E.S.P.) preferrediKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMust have strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.Must be able to identify community resources and make appropriate recommendations.Must possess a thorough understanding of programming needs of participants.Must be able to identify necessary accommodations.iPHYSICAL DEMANDSiLightLifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Walking or standing to a significant degree, involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.iWORK ENVIRONMENTModerate Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)
