Seasonal Agriculture work starting 5/13 & 5/20!

Job Description

As a Seed Technician, you will be involved in all facets of seed production within our location. Outdoor activities may involve planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, and hand harvesting. You may also be tasked with preventive maintenance of equipment in your assigned areas. Depending on your role, you may be required to collect electronic data in field and laboratory settings using PC and handheld data collection devices, or organize, move and place seeds into storage, maintaining inventory accuracy using electronic inventory systems.

Hard Skills

• Understanding of seed processing and packaging

• Experience in planting and pollinating

• Data entry

• Equipment maintenance

• Use of PC and handheld data collection devices

• Inventory management using electronic inventory systems

• Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems

• Basic mechanical ability / understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and trouble shoot equipment)

Soft Skills

• Ability to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions in English

• Ability to perform assigned tasks accurately

• valid drivers license

• Must be 18 a legal resident

Work Environment

This role may require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing. Extended hours may be requested during peak seasons. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and / or related experience are required.
