Job Description

Perform all tasks relating to the layout of projects involving blueprint reading and constructing and welding various components to complete projects.

• Set up and operate welding equipment.

• Layout large fitting and welding projects.

• Utilize various hand tools and power tools.

Must Have Skills

• MIG welding

• Strong fabrication

• Grinder operation

• Saw operation

Work Environment

The team is fairly small, with the company being under 50 people and the shop at full staff having about 8-9 fabrication people. The manager is very hands-on and works alongside the team. Candidates need to be comfortable with working throughout the shop and performing various tasks throughout the day. The work is custom, and shifts run from 7 AM to 4 PM with an hour lunch. During hot weeks, shifts start at 6 AM with a half-hour lunch to finish mid-afternoon. Teamwork is essential as tasks are generally performed in teams of two.
