Martin Brothers Distributing Service Technician in Cedar Falls, Iowa

Job Overview: The Service Technician services and repairs dish machines, beverage equipment and commercial chemical dispensers for laundry, warewash and proportioning systems. The service technician will deliver and install equipment at customer locations. This position will work in both a shop setting and in the field and occasionally respond to outside service calls as needed. Overnight travel is required for position.

Expectations:

Diagnose and refurbish equipment to include necessary repairs for return/placement at customer location.

  • Refurbish equipment to ‘like new’ condition.

  • Accurate and timely documentation and record keeping, EMP.

  • Training/testing for increased knowledge and proficiency

    Proper use and operation of company equipment and property.

  • Scanning of equipment to be refurbished/repaired.

  • Return refurbished equipment to warehouse status.

  • Document parts used on equipment to assist in inventory control.

    Conduct all work in safe manner.

  • 100% safety record in both daily work and driving.

  • Coachable with corrective action if needed.

  • Communicate all safety concerns to Service Manager

    Install new and refurbished equipment.

  • Install equipment to look professional.

  • Get proper leases signed before leaving install.

  • Make sure all equipment installed is working properly.

    Maintain positive working relations with co-workers and customers.

    Job Duties:

  • Responsible for repair and refurbishing of all service equipment.

  • Assist with install or service calls when required.

  • Responsible for executing all established protocols for record keeping and documentation of all activities associated with the performance of these duties.

  • Responsible for proper care and treatment of all company property (tools, vehicles, equipment) according to company guidelines and procedures.

  • Preparation of equipment prior to installation to ensure proper operation.

  • Installation of equipment at customer locations.

  • Instruct customers on proper operation of equipment.

  • Introduction of additional company products and services.

  • Responsible for executing all established protocols for record keeping and documentation of all activities associated with the performance of these duties.

  • Neatly complete and promptly distribute all forms (lease contract, invoices, etc.).

  • Responsible for keeping service vehicle maintained, organized, and stocked with enough repair and installation parts and tools.

  • Assist with service calls within assigned territory.

  • Communicate with Service Manager on any problems or concerns.

  • Interact and cooperate with all Martin Bros. employees.

  • Maintain professional appearance according to company guidelines.

  • Read and follow all company policies.

  • Follow all safety rules and requirements.

  • Accept new projects and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

  • Work with other members of service department as a team.

  • Assist in project management as requested
