Job Skills / Requirements
We are looking for one Gate Attendant for a position in Marion, Ia. Starting pay is $18.00 an hour. It has set days and hours: Sunday: 8am to 1pm Monday: 2pm to Closing Varies (10:30) Wednesday: 2pm to Closing Varies (10:30) Saturday: 6am to 2pm
Responsibilities: Loss Prevention | Checking orders and counting purchased product Computers | Hand held computers used, must have good understanding of computers Product Knowledge | Generally, good knowledge of the building industry and construction is helpful. Walking | Can be very busy in the summer months, a lot of walking required on Concrete is required. Communication | A lot of interaction with the public, must be able to communicate well Must follow policies set by the client at all times and enforce rules set by the client. This position is outside and must be able to handle the elements like heat, cold, rain, snow. We do provide A/C in the guard shack!
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security - Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, background investigation.
