JOB GOAL:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, the HiSET® testing associate works with the HiSET® Chief Examiner to assist students with the completion of official HiSET® testing to achieve an Iowa High School Equivalency Diploma. The associate will be working with HISET® candidates at the main campus test center in Cedar Rapids, and occasional needs at the Kirkwood Regional Center in Coralville. Scheduled test times vary and will be discussed during the interview process.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administering official HiSET® assessments

  • Ensuring all necessary student forms and documentation are completed

  • Adhering to HiSET® and State of Iowa test security requirements

  • Work in collaboration with Kirkwood adult education staff and instructors

  • Perform other related work duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Speak English fluently and be at least 18 years of age.

  • Have the ability to read directions clearly to test takers and to complete forms.

  • Must be proficient with computers.

  • Possess unquestionable integrity and be able to handle groups of test takers in an effective, efficient and friendly manner.

  • Pass the HiSET CBT and PBT Elearning assessment.
