The Aegon Global Technology (AGT) Information Security Officers provide 24/7/365 security support to the AEGON global enterprise regarding the protection of information securely in transit and at rest. AGT infrastructure assets are supported through an Information Security Program including management of the Enterprise Information Risk Management Application (EIRMA), the operational aspects of the ISO process, Incident Management, Security Risk Evaluation, Vulnerability Management and so forth.
The Information Security Officers are the first line response when there is a security questions regarding the implementation of the Aegon Global Information Security Standards and the Information Security Controls Framework, working with all Service Teams in AGT, at all locations. Ideas and requests are evaluated against these standards to ensure data is protected in the most secure method possible. Assets and processes are scored against the standards and recorded in EIRMA as well as documenting exceptions, and assets are scanned for vulnerabilities and communicated to service teams for remediation. Incidents are managed by gathering data on the event and recording it from identification to completion of assigned actions. Security evaluations also compare the tools and processes against the standards to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities may include:
Initial review and assessment of security Launch Tickets for compliance to standards
Review and complete Vulnerability Management compliance items including initial analysis of Do Not Reboot and Local Admin justification
Serve as scribe for events/incidents and incident summary reporting
Add reports to the Vulnerability Management SharePoint folder, support Governance Committee meetings, and gather topics for monthly communication.
Review the Enterprise Information Risk Management Application (EIRMA) for necessary updates, review exceptions, compare compliance tracking for new exceptions, participate in EIRMA working group reviews and testing.
Initial analysis of application scan report to provide summary to ISO
Conduct initial follow-up for termination last login after term date situations.
Follow-up of end of life and out of support assets (hardware and software) supported by AGT
Review the Vulnerability Management Narratives as they are being developed, gather VM topics for service teams, and assist in the consolidation of data into a management summary.
Assist in Global Communications Review, coordinating with BUs and AGT Communication.
Prioritizing workload to meet departmental KPI’s and organizational SLA’s
IT background or coursework in IT concepts
IT security background or coursework in information security controls
Familiarity with computer systems in a controlled environment
Enrolled in a 2 or 4-year Computer Science or Information Management Degree program or equivalent prior work experience.
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am-5pm M-F for the Fall 2018 semester. Position could be extended through the Spring / Summer of 2018 based upon business need.
Students must be currently enrolled in a college or university actively pursing a degree.
Typical working hours would be between 8 AM and 5 PM Central Time Monday thru Friday, during a set of agreed upon hours.
