Job Description SummaryMember of Reporting and Operations area in the Actuarial Model Governance team in the Actuarial Model Integrity organization. This team is responsible for reporting and maintaining Actuarial Integrity processes and systems. Leads the business analysis process and those who are identifying business requirements for system solutions or improved processes that will increase efficiency and overall productivity. Recommends and develops solutions that provide the most effective results for the enterprise. Recommends changes in procedures. Ensure the use of consistent team operating procedures and supports systems development life cycle requirements for solutions that are developed.Job Description

Job Description Responsibilities

  • Conducts business process analysis and needs assessments in an effort to aligninformation technology solutions with business initiatives

  • Prepare complex documentation for business and system requirements in written and graphical forms (flows)

  • Lead effort to develop new or revised processes or procedure in lieu of system development.

  • Facilitates the elicitation of business and systems requirements, utilizing comprehensive understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

  • Provides leadership to analyze business unit requests and understand business requirements. Work with various technical staff member to determine possible solutions and communicate business and system impacts.

  • Leads project teams that are developing or modifying complex information systems. Includes leading the analysis and documentation of business and system requirements.

  • Provide test scenarios or test criteria based on knowledge gained through business and systems analysis. May provide approval or quality check on test plans or test matrix.

  • Performs professional analysis work, which involves: extracting data from various accounting and Information Systems, compilation, consolidation and appropriate analysis of data

  • Understands the flow of information, financial systems, appropriate reporting tools and uses that knowledge to troubleshoot problems.

  • Contact users of administrative systems to ensure data is accurate and complete. May need to provide assistance to the users on how to input data into the administrative system and coordinate with users to update data on a timely basis.

  • Support the re-occurring and non-reoccurring reporting processes to meet management deadlines.

  • May use project management and program management methodologies to support a systems development methodology to meet project deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT or a business area discipline (i.e. accounting, investments, or marketing) or equivalent education/experience.

  • Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in business systems analysis. 2-4 years of industry experience also preferred.

  • Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Having prior experience working with Alteryx will be a strong consideration because this position will utilize Alteryx for report development to automate existing reporting processes and run current reports that rely on Alteryx

  • Experience with database query and reporting tools, SQL development experience, advanced Excel and PowerPoint and experience with Tableau.

  • Working knowledge of systems development methodology
