Job Title: Material Handler Forklift

Job Description

The material handler forklift operator will be responsible for unloading inbound shipments, verifying that the merchandise matches shipping documents, and moving merchandise to storage while properly documenting put-away locations. The role includes reporting any shipment discrepancies, labeling and stickering orders, picking orders, and preparing them for shipment. Additionally, the operator will inspect forklifts daily to identify any potential problems with the equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound shipments.

  • Verify merchandise matches shipping documents.

  • Move merchandise to storage and document put-away locations.

  • Report any shipment discrepancies.

  • Label and sticker orders.

  • Pick orders and prepare them for shipment.

  • Inspect forklifts daily to identify potential problems with the equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in forklift operation.

  • Material handling experience.

  • Experience with shipping and receiving.

  • Ability to operate a pallet jack.

  • Experience with sit-down forklifts and reach trucks.

  • Ability to use RF scanners.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • General labor experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean and organized dry storage warehouse. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
