JOB GOAL:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The operations coordinator manages day-to-day activities to ensure the department is operating efficiently, assists with management/administrative tasks, and has operational control of a range of projects. May work on assignments related to project development and management initiatives, internal operating procedures, business processes, and policies.

The typical work schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planning, development, and coordination of course schedules/building.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of all reports and studies that are required from the department.

  • Support and coordinate department events.

  • Monitor facilities, equipment, training, and materials to meet the needs of the instructional programs.

  • Assist with inventory of equipment/supplies and purchasing.

  • Assist with budgeting and finance operations within the department.

  • Assist with enrollment management for the department.

  • Cooperate with other departments and offices in the college to foster communications and services to meet the needs of students and staff.

  • Assist in curriculum and program revisions.

  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Two years’ experience in an educational setting

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • Two years’ experience in a postsecondary education setting

  • Experience in an operations capacity

  • Knowledge of project management techniques or project management experience.
