This will be a8-hour shift,second shift role workingfrom 03:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Position Purpose & Scope:
Monitors and controls mixing, drying and fermentation processes. Ensures that a quality product is produced efficiently, on time, and according to specifications. Supports Diamond V’s commitment to product quality, product safety and regulatory compliance by following written and routine standard operating procedures. This includes observing food hygiene, food safety and CGMP practices when conducting assigned job duties.
Essential duties: Include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Operates computerized processes according to established procedure to prepare product according to specifications.
Assures all process formulations are accurate.
Extracts and tests samples to maintain accuracy of process control and make necessary adjustments.
Ensures dry ingredient bins are full at all times.
Cleans work area as required.
Assists with moving of rail cars as required.
Performs routine equipment repairs and adjustments.
Conducts periodic insect and rodent inspections.
May be asked to perform Millhand job duties or other job related duties as requested by supervisor.
Has knowledge of and access to confidential formulas and procedures.
Collect incoming ingredient samples and finished product samples. Record all information specific to the samples.
Measures Of Performance:
Adherence to product specifications, efficiency of operations, timeliness of production, cleanliness of facility and equipment.
Reliability and regularity of attendance; performance of job in a safe and efficient manner; ability to work overtime as necessary.
Effectiveness of communications and working relationships with others at the Company.
Reports directly to the Supervisor.
Works closely with plant, office and laboratory personnel to ensure a quality product is produced according to specifications and on time.
Occasional contact with trucking company employees.
Occasional contact with customers in giving plant tours.
Must be able to: operate a variety of machines including micro processor based batching equipment, forklift, mixers, pumps, hand and power tools, auger grinder, scale, dryers, moisture testers, meters, separator, sterilizer and reactor.
Read and follow written directions; perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, figure fractions and percentages).
Be able to obtain certification to handle fumigants and pesticides.
Follow procedures; work in a safe and efficient manner.
Position involves frequent climbing indoors and outdoors up to 200 ft., stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling to transport product and working with and on equipment operated.
Must be able to hear equipment as it is operating to detect problems.
Visual acuity is needed to read gauges and monitor computerized controls.
Frequent exposure to heat, noise, grain dust, dampness and potentially hazardous equipment with moving parts.
Exposure to acids and caustics for both pH control and cleaning.
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.
Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds.
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.
Ability to work in elevated areas.
Must be able to operate machinery.
Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
Must be able to read/write English.
High School diploma or Equivalent.
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.
Basic computer skills.
Prior experience in feed or production related work.
