Grant Wood AEA has two Paraeducator positions available at the Linn County Detention Center located on Walford Rd, Cedar Rapids.This position will work 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hrs/wk). Starting hourly wage range: $16.95 - $18.00. Benefits include free single health, dental and vision insurance,IPERS retirement system, $25,000 free term life insurance and excellent leave benefits.Job SummaryProvides assistance to licensed instructional or support staff in the delivery of Agency services.Under the direction of licensed staff, assists to provide instructional and behavioralprogramming which has been designed to meet each individual’s unique educational needs. Qualifications 1. Two years of post high school training in a social science or education related field, or,alternatively, paraeducator certificate or two years paraeducator experience.2. Prior experience in a classroom setting.
