This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

What YOU Will Do:

The primary responsibility for this position is providing site level project support with an emphasis in automation. This position will also have responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Program, integrate, and validate/verify new manufacturing equipment

  • Subject matter expert on manufacturing processes including equipment, layouts, work sequence, workflow, work instructions, and procedures

  • Identify process improvements opportunities using analysis, modeling, benchmarking, research, etc.

  • Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, inventory, and production record systems

  • Standard work in areas such as process documentation, preventative maintenance, and validation/verification

  • Strategic plans for allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization

  • Project cost estimates and cost benefit analysis

  • Review processes and work to eliminate risks related to quality, safety, and producibility

  • Manage moderately sized projects or processes

  • Use various software packages to maintain and update documents and records

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Station loading/line balancing, staffing planning, and capacity analysis

  • Standard work documentation

  • Microsoft Suite of applications

  • Data analytics & visualization

  • Windows or web-based application development

  • C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Java, SQL, and/or Python

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
