Description:

Assembly Process Engineer

Travel may be required both domestic and to Mexico*

• Develop full and semi-automated assembly processes for new product. This will include participating in the design phase and doing equipment layout in the assembly process. Procure new equipment as needed. Manager assembly, fixturing and materials.

• Be the subject matter expert for all assembly technologies and capacity of current processes

• Define the material flow and handling used to supply the process

• Design the entire assembly process with lean techniques involved

• Write specification and qualification plans for the means, tools, equipment and production lines to produce the product

• Participate in any lean manufacturing events

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics

• 3-5+ years experience in manufacturing industry directly supporting assembly operations

• 2+ years implementing new products into assembly

• Previous equipment troubleshooting and purchasing preferred

• 3D Modeling software experience, can be Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, etc.

• PLC exposure a plus
